Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats, a touring exhibition produced by Evergreen Exhibitions, brings the mystery surrounding bats out of the dark! Join us on Saturday, February 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as we celebrate opening day of the exhibit's 11-month run at the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
Through a wide variety of special effects, multi-sensory interactive displays, a Gothic castle, and environmentally lifelike settings, “Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats” dispels popular misconceptions about bats, describes their ecological importance, and gives visitors an appreciation of the true wonders of the bat world. The exhibit guides visitors through centuries of mythic representations of bats by different cultures before introducing visitors to the real world of bats as diverse, beneficial mammals with fascinating skills.
In addition to access to the exhibit, visitors will experience a variety of special activities ranging from balloon art, face painting, craft tables, and special presentations by bat experts!
