Wyoming Update: It's Day 3 of the Dino Dig! In this picture, Dr. Kal Ivanov is photographing a mound of harvester ants that collect small fossils and pebbles to coat their hill.
Dr. Ivanov, who studies modern insects at the museum, is interested in gaining a better understanding of the "how" and "why" of this peculiar habit of harvester ants.
