Several Doodle Bugs! participants show-off their Halloween costumes as they take part in this month's program, "Animal Safari", at the museum. Here, the children watch as the trout swim around the Trout in the Classroom tanks located in the museum's education center. From left to right, spider, witch, museum education coordinator, fairy.
Doodle Bugs! is the museum's longest running monthly program for children ages 3-5. The hour-long programs are a great way for parents and grandparents to learn alongside their children and grandchildren with imaginative stories, fun activities, games and crafts provided by museum educators that spark creativity and curiosity. Programs are held at 10 a.m. and repeated at 3 p.m. and only cost $6/participant. Next month's program, "Little Sprouts", will take place November 28. Additionally, the museum will bring its Doodle Bugs! programs to daycares at a day and time convenient for you. Pre-registration is required one week in advance by calling 276-634-4185.
