Over 90 students from Mary G. Porter Traditional School in Prince William County took part in the museum's distance learning program "Fossils", led by the museum's talented education staff. The distance learning programs are a critical piece of the museum's "A Museum Without Walls" initiative to allow citizens throughout the Commonwealth to benefit from the museum's educational and research programs without having to travel to the museum.
Distance learning education is available to any school with the capability of receiving live video feeds. Programs can be tailored to fit the needs of your students. If you're interested in receiving a program, be sure to call us at 276-634-4185 or email discover@vmnh.virginia.gov to learn more!
