Over 150 students from the Summer Residential Governor's School for Mathematics, Science and Technology visited VMNH on July 9 to tour the museum and take part in hands-on sessions led by the museum's Research & Collections staff. Presenters included Dr. Nancy Moncrief, curator of mammology, Dr. Alton Dooley, curator of paleontology, Dr. Elizabeth Moore, curator of archaeology, Dr. Judy Winston, curator of mammology, Sarah Timm, earth sciences technician, and Ray Vodden, research technician. The school chose the museum as its destination due to VMNH's ability to provide hands-on, practical learning sessions led by renowned science professionals.
