Don't miss DINO DAY on Saturday, January 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum!
Dino Day features real dinosaur fossils, life-size skeleton casts of Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Acrocanthosaurs and Allosaurus, as well as the skull casts of Diplodocus, Appalachiosaurus and Dunkleosteus, a massive, predatory fish that lived well over 350 million years ago!
Special presentations, games and activities will take place throughout the event. You can even take a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum's scientific research areas!
LIVE ANIMALS! That's right. For the first time ever, Dino Day will feature live animals to highlight the similarities between dinosaurs and modern day animals. On display will be an emu, crocodile, giant tortoise, and others.
Cost of admission is $5 per adult, $4 for ages 3-18 and $3 for seniors and college students. Children under 3 and museum members enter for free. Admission also allows you to view all of the museum's exhibit galleries.
Member of ASTC? We will honor your ASTC membership at Dino Day! Be sure to bring your membership card to receive free or reduced admission.
Special thanks to our Dino Day sponsors Roanoke Cement, Cold Blooded Encounters Reptile Zoo and Science Center, Kiwanis International, and Martinsville-Henry County Tourism Division.
*Dino Day was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 23 and postponed due to winter weather.
