Directions and Parking
The Virginia Museum of Natural History is located on Route 58 Business at 21 Starling Avenue in Martinsville between the YMCA and First Baptist Church.

Click to EnlargeFrom the North (Roanoke, Rocky Mount) Take US Route 220 South. Continue south into Henry County and take 220 Business into Martinsville. Turn left onto Church Street, then follow Church Street to Starling Avenue. Turn right onto Starling Avenue  The Museum is on the left

From the South (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem) Take Airport Parkway to NC Route 68. Take 68 North until it intersects US Route 220 North. Continue on 220 North to Martinsville, Virginia. Take 220 Business (Memorial Boulevard) into Martinsville. After crossing the Smith River, follow Memorial Boulevard to the top of the hill. Take a right onto Starling Avenue. The Museum is on the right, just past Market Street.

From the East (Danville, South Boston) Take US Route 58 West to Martinsville. Follow 58 Business signs through town. Turn left onto Starling Avenue (58 Business). The Museum is on the left.

From the West (Stuart, Blue Ridge Parkway, Galax) Take US Route 58 East to Martinsville. Take 58 Business East into Martinsville. 58 Business East merges into 220 North Business (Memorial Boulevard). After crossing the Smith River, follow Memorial Boulevard to the top of the hill. Take a right onto Starling Avenue. The Museum is on the right, just past past Market Street.

From the Northeast (Lynchburg, Charlottesville) Take US Route 29 South to Chatham.  Take VA Route 57 West to US Route 58 West.  Follow 58 Business signs through the city.  Turn left at Starling Avenue.  The Museum is on the left.

From the Southwest (Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Floyd) Take Interstate 81 to Exit 114, VA Route 8 to Floyd. Continue south on Route 8 through Floyd to the intersection of US Route 58. Take 58 East to Martinsville. 58 Business East merges into 220 North Business (Memorial Boulevard). After crossing the Smith River, follow Memorial Boulevard to the top of the hill. Take a right onto Starling Avenue. The Museum is on the right, just past Market Street.

Parking, Ample parking space for cars and buses is free and available on the property.
